Potentilla, Cheesehead

A charming, compact shrub that brightens the garden with a profusion of golden-yellow blooms over its fine-textured foliage. Despite it’s petite size, this little powerhouse produces flowers from late spring well into late summer, creating a carpet of cheerful color. Because of its dense, rounded habit and steady flowering, it holds its shape naturally without a lot of fuss. It’s especially well-suited to rock gardens, mixed shrub borders, foundation plantings, or low hedges.
