Prunus ‘Pipestone’
When trained as a standard tree, presents a majestic, upright form that combines ornamental beauty with edible reward. In early spring, it bursts into a confetti display of pale pink to nearly white blossoms, attracting pollinators and hinting at the promises to come. Over the summer months, its foliage fills in, forming a dense, shady crown that eventually bears a bounty of large, red-plum fruit with a golden blush and succulent yellow interior. These plums are sweet, juicy, and excellent for fresh eating, preserves, or jellies.
