Tilia cordata ‘Greenspire’
Shapely, narrow-crowned pyramidal tree with a straight trunk, a strong central leader, and a uniform (most uniform of the species) branching habit. Excellent boulevard or front yard tree.
Dense foliage.
Small dark green heart-shaped leaves turn yellow in fall.
Tolerant of dry conditions once established; needs good drainage. Spicy, fragrant pale yellow flowers (June-July) are followed by berries.
Attractive cinnamon colored bark.
Good disease and insect resistance.
A great street or boulevard tree; the trees lining Rimrock Mall are Greenspires.
Considered a “LittleLeaf” linden.
