Cranberrybush, Bailey’s Compact

A compact, multi-stemmed, round-shaped deciduous shrub that offers season-long interest. In mid to late spring, it produces showy white lace-cap flower clusters that sit above its foliage. After flowering, it develops bright red berries that persist into late fall and winter, providing visual interest and food for birds. Its foliage emerges with a slight red edged new leaf, shifts to green through the growing season, then transitions to deep red and orange tones in autumn.
