Vitis ‘Valiant’

A cold-hardy hybrid grape cultivar. In spring it produces inconspicuous greenish flowers, which are insect-pollinated, and by late summer to early fall these give way to clusters of small, deep blue to purple berries. The fruit has a flavor reminiscent of Concord- “foxy” or musky- yet is prized for its hardiness over many vinifera types.
