Hosta ‘Sum & Substance’

A dramatic and commanding shade perennial, frequently chosen when you want bold foliage to dominate the landscape. It produces an enormous mound of broad, paddle-shaped leaves that are deeply textured and thick in substance. In spring and early summer, these leaves emerge in a vivid chartreuse hue that gradually deepens towards gold as the season progresses. In mid to late summer, tall scapes emerge bearing clusters of pale lavender, bell-shaped flowers that softly hover above the foliage.
