Parthenocissus quinquefolia ‘Virginia Creeper’

A vigorous, deciduous climbing vine that brings dynamic seasonal interest to the garden. It produces compound leaves that lie flat or lightly cascade, forming a lush green blanket through the growing season. In early summer, its modest greenish flowers emerge, followed by clusters of dark bluish berries in late summer and fall- berries that, while toxic to humans, are an important source of food for birds. One of its most striking features is its fall transformation: leaves shift from green to fiery reds, crimsons, or burgundy hues, creating a dramatic display on fences, walls, or tree trunks it climbs.
