Prunus ‘Toka’
A hardy, richly flavored plum tree that combines ornamental beauty with serious fruit production. In spring, it puts on a show of fragrant white blossoms before leaf-out, filling the branches with pollen and attracting pollinators. From the blossoms come plums with reddish-bronze skin over vivid apricot-hued flesh- sweet, spicy, and often likened to candy or bubblegum in flavor. The fruit is clingstone, so the flesh adheres to the pit, which is typical for many plum varieties.
