Prunus ‘Waneta’

A robust, cold-climate hybrid plum known for its combination of handsome canopy, dependable fruiting, and impressive flavor. In spring it bursts into fragrant white blooms, saturating the branch tips before leaf emergence. As summer progresses, the foliage builds a verdant, supportive frame for the fruit to come. By mid to late summer, ‘Waneta’ delivers large, red-skinned plums with golden-yellow flesh. The fruit is of clingstone type, but compensates with rich, sweet flavor that is excellent fresh, for cooking, or preserving.
