Vine, Honeysuckle, Major Wheeler

A vigorous, showy native vine that carries a long season of pendant, trumpet-shaped coral-red blooms that are favorites of hummingbirds. The blooms often appear in clusters from late spring through summer and, with trimming, may continue into early fall. Its foliage is bluish-green and generally clean, with this particular cultivar noted for resistance to mildew- a common issue in other red honeysuckles.
