Malus ‘Goodland’
An extremely hardy fall-ripening apple for cold climates.
Midseason blooms. Aromatic fruit is sweet, juicy, and firm.
The medium-sized red apple is washed red mottled with green. A 1955 Morden Research Station, Manitoba, Canada introduction. One of the best apples for colder regions. Excellent cooking and fresh eating apple. Short storage life. Annual bearer. The white spring flowers have a pink tint. Does not tolerate prolonged periods of high temperatures well–probably best in more mountainous portions of our area such as Red Lodge, Roscoe, etc. Moderately susceptible to fire blight.
Self-Fertile. #7 gallon
