Compact Oregon Grape

A diminutive, attractive form of Oregon Grape, bred to maintain a more manageable size while retaining the desirable characteristics of its larger relatives. In spring, the shrub bursts into clusters of bright yellow, fragrant flowers that draw pollinators. These are followed by small, bluish-black berries in summer, which birds will often appreciate. The foliage is evergreen in suitable climates, with new leaves emerging in bronze or copper tones, maturing to glossy dark green, and often taking on purplish or bronze hues in winter.
